Hex color code:
Hex color code comes from hexadecimal numbers and the red, green, blue color system.  Hex color code is used in html to declare which color is to be displayed. This is not the only way however.

As shown in the figure below, hex color code has three values; the first two digits stand for red, the second two stand for green and the last two stand for blue.


Hex color code representations

The hexadecimal that one is allowed to use goes from 00 to FF which in all allows for 256 numbers (0 to 255).

The higher the value of the hex color code in a given color the more of that color you will have in the color the hex color code will make. 

The table below displays white, black, the primary and the secondary colors.
